Integration into the Auction solution and developer tools

Red2 Auction is a multi-tier auction system which comprises of a central auction engine to which bespoke components are attached to service your individual business model. This is achieved through plug-in technology, which enables functionally discrete components (such as users) to be replaced with, for example, an integration with your single sign on (SSO) framework. Red2 Auction can be connected directly into common components existing within your current business (Inventory management, SSO, accounting and so on).

Alternatively Red2 Auction provides a REST web service, enabling you to integrate in the opposite direction. Natively you can query bids, lots, auctions, users and other common functionality. Querying enables you to present auction information within your own environment, or portals, driving users into the auction platform. The web service also enables you to create and manage your lots, users and other common functionality.

Sitting to the side of the core auction platform, we also provide an ancillary data feed system which is integrated into the platform. This enables large scale, non-auction data to be integrated in a low friction manner. An example of this would be geographic (for example distance calculation) or complex category cross referencing (for example VIN lookup for automotive).
